RF Shielded Room
Magnetic resonance imaging system is a high-precision imaging diagnostic equipment, which has higher requirements for the installation environment. The NMR signal is a very weak signal, which is easily affected by external interference. Therefore, MRI systems often need to be equipped with Faraday cages (RF shielding rooms) to isolate external radio frequency interference from entering the system. However,MRI rooms do not utilize or require any x-ray or radiation shielding as they do not produce any ionizing x-ray or gamma radiation.

After the RF shielding is installed, it needs to be tested to ensure minimal RF noise in the environment surrounding the MRI equipment. Typically, to test for RF noise, a transmitter is placed outside the room that will transmit a certain frequency and strength of RF wave. A receiver is placed within the shielded room to determine how much of the signal penetrates the RF shielding.
Finaly, a complete set of processes is efficiently completed for interior decoration and cleaning.
